Call for presenters — Boulder Startup Week 2014 Dev Track
Boulder Startup Week is May 12 – May 16th this year. I am running the dev track.
The session are as follows:
- All about Functional Programming – Functional programming relies upon the fact that we can define an entire system in terms of a pure, atemporal, stateless mapping from inputs to outputs, and this fact holds for us a singular promise: that it is possible, and desirable, to write programs that express an ideal, perfect, and eternal solution to a problem involving the manipulation of information. These talks will explore tools, methodologies, and news about functional programming.
- Development Tools Lightning Talks – Listen to four developers share their current stack and what they think is new and noteworthy.
- Big Data Lightning Talks – Big Data: (noun; computing) data sets that are too large and complex to manipulate or interrogate with standard methods or tools. Come listen to some of Boulder’s most experienced professionals in the Big Data field speak about wrangling peta bytes of data, wrestling bears, juggling cats and where they see the Big Data industry headed!
- DevOps Lightning Talks – Listen to Ops developers share their current stack and what they think is new and noteworthy.
