Phrase of the week: ladder of inference

The phrase of the week for me is ladder of inference. Defined as the thinking process that we go through, usually without realizing it, to get from a fact to a decision or action. Here it is visualized courtesy of the systems thinker:   In the new year, my resolution is to climb the ladder of inference much more slowly than I did last year. ✌️   Read the article >>

Send Ethereum to any Email Address w. YouveGotETH.github.io

I built a tool called You've Got ETH this weekend at the Dappathon.  It's a tool that allows you to send ethereum to any email address.  The idea is that it's more powerful to evangelize the ecosystem by sending Ethereum such that the end user has an incentive to figure out wallets, private keys, and smart contracts. Here's a demo video. Code is available via MIT Liscense at https://github.com/youvegoteth/youvegoteth.github.io/ Mainnet Read the article >>

Weekend Project: Transcri.pt

Weekend Project: Transcri.pt

One of my frustrations with podcasting at StartupCTO.io has been the lack of any easy-to-use, affordable, transcription tools.    It costs $1/ minute to transcribe audio to text. So I built something better.  Today I am launching transcri.pt - A tool that does transcription of text much cheaper than anyone else can.  The output is pretty good I think. Head on over to transcri.pt and Read the article >>
Slack For Communities

Slack For Communities

I'm really excited about the launch of Atomic Slack -- Atomic Slack is an add-on to Slack that builds features for communities of interest (as opposed to teams at work).  Their first feature is a daily digest of the most important messages on a slack team. I'm definitely going to use this on the Data Scientists Slack Team. Click here to check it out.  Read the article >>
